The region of Hochsteiermark is the ideal place for rafting and Kayak tours in Wildalpen, for traditional or sport climbing, jogging, or simply enjoying a walk in the beauty of nature.

This year two major events take place in the sports town of Kapfenberg: the Retrorunning World Championship and the European Model Aircraft Championship. Another international competition is the Erzberg-Rodeo, the world´s biggest motorbike-offroad event that this year took place in June.
