For the sporty ones looking for a physical challenge the region offers a range of challenging mountain-bike trails.

Part of the alpine tour “Alpentour”, the section from Wildalpen via Mariazell and Mürzzuschlag to Fischbach is a real challenge. There is the possibility to cover the trail by stages, going from place to place, from alpine-tour inn to alpine-tour inn. Your luggage is brought from inn to inn by the alpine-tour innkeepers, and with their excellent cuisine and hospitality you can start each new day well rested and with new strength.

The romantic tour from Mariazell via Aflenz Kurort to Fischbach is another trail being part of the alpine tour, leading past flowering meadows and through healthy forests, and many times the waters of the Hochschwab massif may quench your thirst.

In addition to these tours there are another 350 kms of mountain-bike trails in the region, being part of  the alpine pasture tour “Almentour”.
